Deoksugung Palace winter snow

Seoul Deoksugung Palace snow scenery

Deoksugung Palace is one of my favourite places in Seoul. It’s easy to reach, not too big to walk around, and looks great in every season.

In spring flowers would bloom, including the best cherry tree I’ve seen in life. In autumn the foliage surrounding the palace wall is awesome. It’s a bit ordinary in summer but they held many cultural shows during the period. And in winter, after snowfall, it looks like these photos, taken during my visit in January 2010.

Experiencing winter was the main reason I made the trip to Korea at the first place. If you grew up seeing snow every year this may seem ordinary, but for me who grew up in tropical country this is just so beautiful.
